Rusutsu resort season
We offer fully bilingual private lessons at Rusutsu, with an optional round-trip transfer package departing from and returning to Niseko-area hotels.
Rusutsu is Hokkaido's largest resort — three linked mountains with about 42km of combined runs.
It has the most balanced difficulty split of any of the four resorts, so a group with both beginners and experienced riders can ski together without anyone standing around.
Who Rusutsu Lessons Are For
Families with kids
The resort is set up like an integrated village — everything's walkable, so there's minimal transport or waiting around, and the runs and facilities suit kids aged 3–10 well.

Beginner, intermediate and advanced terrain all exist here, so you won't end up with some of your group skiing happily while others wait around.
Guests wanting to try every kind of terrain
Three linked mountains plus open tree runs. Many routes are best explored with a guide — if you're already comfortable in powder, we recommend booking a coach to ski with you.
Already staying in Niseko, want a change of scenery
Our round-trip transfer package handles the travel for you — no need to plan it yourself.
Night skiing in Rusutsu
Rusutsu's night skiing runs on West Mt., served by the "1st Quad" lift, with four runs open: White Lover, Family, and two intermediate Rainbow runs.
Hours: 16:00 – 20:00 (last lift 19:45)
Season: roughly mid-December to end of March
The best part of night skiing at Rusutsu is that your hotel is right there. All three on-site hotels are ski-in/ski-out — ski until 8pm and walk straight back to your room, no waiting for a shuttle in the cold.
If you didn't get enough skiing in during the day, or only arrived in the afternoon, night skiing is a great top-up. There's an onsen to unwind in afterward too.
*Rusutsu doesn't currently offer a night lesson.

Rusutsu doesn't have the sharply tiered peak/low seasons that Niseko does — the main difference is on-site vs. online pricing, and online is the biggest discount of the four resorts: ¥16,200 on-site vs. ¥12,000 online for a day pass.
Lift access is free under age 3, with child pricing for ages 4–12. If your trip has a gap day, the 25-hour pass (usable across multiple days) or a points pass is more flexible than a multi-day pass.

FAQ
Getting to Rusutsu
The resort's official shuttle takes about 2 hours direct from New Chitose Airport, ¥5,500 one-way (¥5,000 booked online), advance booking required. We also offer a lesson package with round-trip transfer from a Niseko-area hotel.
Where to Stay in Rusutsu
All three on-site hotels are ski-in/ski-out — get dressed and ski straight out the door: Rusutsu Resort Hotel & Convention, The Westin Rusutsu Resort, The Vale Rusutsu. The resort itself has an onsen and indoor play facilities, especially good for families.
