Kiroro resort season
We offer fully bilingual private lessons at Kiroro, with an optional round-trip transfer package from Niseko-area hotels.
Kiroro's snow is widely regarded as some of the best in Hokkaido, with far smaller crowds than Niseko — little to no queuing.
It's a mid-sized resort, so about three days covers the main routes comfortably — and lessons here run through April, so it works for late-season trips too.
Who Kiroro Lessons Are For
First time skiing
Lots of gentle terrain here, and far fewer people. Practising on a crowded run carries more psychological pressure than you'd think — Kiroro doesn't have that problem.
Want great snow without the crowds
This is Kiroro's main selling point — snow just as good, with far fewer people on it.
Only have about 3 days
A mid-sized resort — three days is enough to cover the main routes.
Intermediate/advanced riders who want tree runs
Kiroro has 14 natural, ungroomed areas, and its tree runs are highly rated. Our coaches have real experience teaching natural terrain and all-mountain riding.
Only free at the end of the season
Spring pricing runs from April to season's end, when most other resorts have already closed.
Night skiing at Kiroro
Kiroro's night skiing runs on the Center Express lift until 7pm, while most other lifts close by 15:30 or 16:00.

Only runs in peak season (mid-December to early April)
The defining feature of Kiroro's night skiing is how quiet it is. Daytime crowds are already far smaller than Niseko's, and at night even more so — you might have an entire run to yourself. Great if you want to focus on one movement without being interrupted by traffic.
Hotels are right next to the slopes, so you can head straight back to your room afterward — no need to arrange separate transport for night skiing.

Kiroro splits tickets into peak (12/12–4/11) and early/spring season, with a peak day pass at ¥9,200 vs. just ¥5,800 in early/spring.
Multi-day passes can be used non-consecutively — skip a day for a trip to Otaru without losing value, unlike Niseko. Lift access is free under age 5, though a card with a refundable ¥500 deposit is required.

FAQ
Getting to Kiroro
About 2 hours by bus from Sapporo, about 40 minutes by taxi from Otaru (roughly ¥6,000–8,000), and about 2 to 2.5 hours from New Chitose Airport. We also offer a lesson package with round-trip transfer from a Niseko-area hotel.
Where to Stay at Kiroro
All the hotels are ski-in/ski-out: Yu Kiroro is apartment-style with a kitchen, great for families or longer stays; Kiroro Tribute Portfolio Hotel is part of Marriott; Club Med Kiroro Grand is all-inclusive with meals bundled in. Also close to Otaru for a visit after skiing.
