How do I book a lesson?

1. Book online: click the link, fill in your details, and our team will contact you through the method you provided. 2. Book through our team: message us and we'll answer your questions and complete the booking directly.

I'm not sure of my level — can I still book?

Yes. FUYU teaches every level. Take our online quiz, or just tell our team about your skiing or snowboarding experience and we'll help you figure it out.

One of us wants to snowboard, another (or the kids) wants to ski — how do we book?

Skiing and snowboarding need separate bookings (each requires its own coach). We can schedule them for the same time slot so your group stays together.

Can I request a specific coach?

We can't guarantee a specific coach, but tell us the teaching style you're looking for and we'll match you as closely as we can. If you'd like to book a Level 3+ coach, take a look at our FUYU Premium option.

Can a group of 4–5 book one lesson together?

Yes, as long as everyone uses the same discipline and is a similar level. Groups are capped at 5 guests.

What age can children start?

From age 3. Under-7s get one-on-one lessons; ages 8 and up follow the same format as adults, with teaching adjusted for kids.

Is there an upper age limit?

Yes. FUYU teaches guests up to age 70.

Can pregnant guests join a lesson?

For safety reasons, FUYU is not able to accept pregnant guests.

I have a past injury or a chronic condition — can I still join?

Yes, just let us know when you book. Your coach will adjust the lesson content and warm-up accordingly.

What payment methods do you accept?

Card payment or bank transfer. If online card payment isn't available in your country, please contact our team directly.

What's included in the lesson fee, and what isn't?

Included: your coach's fee. Not included: lift passes, equipment rental, transport to and from the resort, and personal insurance.

Do I need travel insurance?

We strongly recommend arranging valid travel insurance that covers skiing or snowboarding.

How much do I get back if I cancel?

21+ days before: 95% refund. 15–20 days before: 30% refund. Within 14 days: no refund. Illness or injury (with medical documentation, submitted 48 hours ahead): 50% refund.

What happens in bad weather?

Snowfall or low visibility: your lesson goes ahead as planned. Resort closure: full refund or reschedule. High wind (45km/h+): our team will help coordinate the options.

We accept rescheduling if the resort is closed on your lesson day, or if weather makes outdoor activity unsafe — our team will reach out to you directly in these cases. Outside of these situations, we're not able to reschedule.

We'll arrange the closest meeting point based on where you're staying, and our team will confirm the exact location with you by message beforehand.

What's the difference between the four resorts?

Niseko: famous for powder snow, varied terrain, suits every level. Rusutsu: varied terrain with far fewer crowds. Kiroro: consistent snow conditions, family-friendly, best for intermediate and below. Teine: closest to Sapporo and the most affordable, a good fit for first-time beginners.

I've had lessons elsewhere — can I still book with FUYU?

Yes. FUYU teaches every level. Just tell our team where you're at and your coach will pick up from there.

Do I need to wear a helmet?

We strongly recommend it. Your coach will suggest all guests wear one, and helmets can be rented at the resort.

What happens if I'm late on the day?

Please arrive 5 minutes early at the meeting point. If you're late for personal reasons, we're unable to offer a makeup session, refund, or transfer.
